My comp copies of the new Titan Books edition of Hadon of Ancient Opar arrived in the mail yesterday. The book looks fantastic, and I’m very happy to see this novel once again in an affordable paperback edition (and now for the first time in an ebook edition). The new edition, which features an introduction by me (“The Literary Archaeology of Khokarsa”) as well as bonus addenda “A Guide to Khokarsa”), can be purchased here.
I’m happy to announce that Hadon of Ancient Opar, the first novel in Philip José Farmer’s Khokarsa trilogy, will be published by Titan Books in both paperback and ebook (Kindle, NOOK) format in January 2013. I’m honored to be contributing an introduction (“The Literary Archaeology of Khokarsa”) and afterword (“A Guide to Khokarsa”) to the new edition.Titan Books is in the middle of reprinting a total of eleven classic titles by Farmer, and so they haven’t yet made a decision as to whether to acquire the other two novels in the series (Flight to Opar and The Song of Kwasin). If you want to see those two novels in paperback and ebook formats, I encourage you to show your support by picking up Hadon of Ancient Opar as well as the other books currently available for order or preorder in Titan’s PJF series (The Peerless Peer, The Other Log of Phileas Fogg, Time’s Last Gift, Lord Tyger, A Feast Unknown, Lord of the Trees, The Mad Goblin, and The Wind Whales of Ishmael).
